The volunteers of the Virginia Memorial Quilt Project are committed to making a quilt for the family of each soldier from the Commonwealth of Virginia who has given his or her life during Operation Endearing Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

We would like to make a quilt for the closest relative of each soldier that has lost his or her life in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Sharon has joined as a volunteer of the Virginia Memorial Quilt Project. We welcome her with open arms and admire her for her strength.

She has gone through some difficult days, but she said "I am ready to give back now."
